Primping before a blind date may be the norm, but thanks to this latest beauty invention, a fresh manicure could potentially save your life. Developers at N.C. State University have created a nail polish that changes color when exposed to date rape drugs.
If there seems to be a boom in assault-preventing technology of late, it's perhaps only because reports of sexual assault are at an all-time high. A study published inThe Washington Post notes that instances of campus sex offenses have risen by as much as 50 percent in just the past three years. What's worse: In spite of this, college administrations tend to have a history of doing little to nothing to support victims.
Though we're not quite sure yet how the nail polish will work—will we have to stick our fingers in a drink to detect if the drugs are present? If we do consume a drug-laced drink, will the polish change color, and how soon after would it change?—we're sure these questions and more are being addressed, since the product is still in the prototype stage while it awaits additional funding. And we'll applaud any development that protects women from such unspeakable violence—especially when rape statistics continue to rise rapidly.

Why u no call?

Light is full of water.? You got a problem. This water has been in here long enough to rust. I pionted it out to owner and he turned on the switch. Really. you don't thing something would short out? The drain on the coil was clogged with ice. The coil was frozen because of bad filter. Renters had let this leak for months.

Common Air Conditioner Problems | Department of Energy

Common Air Conditioner Problems | Department of Energy

One of the most common air conditioning problems is improper operation. If your air conditioner is on, be sure to close your home's windows and outside doors. For room air conditioners, isolate the room or a group of connected rooms as much as possible from the rest of your home. For a list of common air conditioner problems and what to look for, check out ourEnergy Saver 101 infographic on home cooling.
Other common problems with existing air conditioners result from faulty installation, poor service procedures, and inadequate maintenance. Improper installation of a central air conditioner can result in leaky ducts and low airflow. Many times, the refrigerant charge (the amount of refrigerant in the system) does not match the manufacturer's specifications. If proper refrigerant charging is not performed during installation, the performance and efficiency of the unit is impaired. Unqualified service technicians often fail to find refrigerant charging problems or even worsen existing problems by adding refrigerant to a system that is already full. Learn what to ask for when hiring a technician to maintain your air conditioner.
Air conditioner manufacturers generally make rugged, high quality products. If your air conditioner fails, begin by checking any fuses or circuit breakers. Let the unit cool down for about five minutes before resetting any breakers. If a central air conditioner's compressor stops on a hot day, the high-pressure limit switch may have tripped; reset it by pushing the button, located in the compressor's access panel.

REFRIGERANT LEAKS

If your air conditioner is low on refrigerant, either it was undercharged at installation or it leaks. If it leaks, simply adding refrigerant is not a solution. A trained technician should fix any leak, test the repair, and then charge the system with the correct amount of refrigerant. Remember that the performance and efficiency of your air conditioner is greatest when the refrigerant charge exactly matches the manufacturer's specification, and is neither undercharged nor overcharged. Refrigerant leaks can also be harmful to the environment.

INADEQUATE MAINTENANCE

If you allow filters and air conditioning coils to become dirty, the air conditioner will not work properly, and the compressor or fans are likely to fail prematurely.

ELECTRIC CONTROL FAILURE

The compressor and fan controls can wear out, especially when the air conditioner turns on and off frequently, as is common when a system is oversized. Because corrosion of wire and terminals is also a problem in many systems, electrical connections and contacts should be checked during a professional service call.

SENSOR PROBLEMS

Room air conditioners feature a thermostat sensor, located behind the control panel, which measures the temperature of air coming into the evaporative coil. If the sensor is knocked out of position, the air conditioner could cycle constantly or behave erratically. The sensor should be near the coil but not touching it; adjust its position by carefully bending the wire that holds it in place.

DRAINAGE PROBLEMS

When it's humid outside, check the condensate drain to make sure it isn't clogged and is draining properly. Room air conditioners may not drain properly if not mounted level.

I had to get my hvac unit serviced at a house we were selling and Rod was incredible! Not only did he come quickly....he was very reasonable. I live out of state now and my real estate agent was so impressed with him, she is keeping his info for future clients. Highly recommend him!

Your systems are working good. As long as the new owner adds bleach to the drains once a year and changes the filter It should do well. Its a good Idea to get your house's a/c inspected when buying a house , or selling. Thanks for calling Aaac service heating and air in Mcdonough. #airconditioner #repair #houseforsale #mcdonoughga

I have been using Rodney for a number of years to take care of my heating and cooling when I have a problem. He always comes out right away at my convenience. His prices are always resonable compared to the "big guys" company. After several years of nursing my a/c during the summer we finally decided to get new units installed. we have had the new units for about two years and have been trouble free thanks to the excellent install and the pricing was excellent. Regardless if you need service or new a/c and heat Rodney from AAAC will treat you right. I always refer my friends to AAAC because I am confident they will get the best service for the best price. Keep up the great work

Our AC stopped working and we called them. They said they would be at our home at a specific time. The service man arrived on time and immediately began to perform several tests to determine the extent of the problem. He was knowledgeable and explained each step as he went along. We were bracing for the worst because our unit was 12 years old but it turned out to be a few minor items such as the capacitor, the Freon needed topping off and the coils needed cleaning. We were very satisfied with the work and the price was fair. They will be the first people I call in the future.

Rod got me going again. Great job and no hassling about a new unit. Found the problem fixed it and didn't kill my pocket. Great guy will recommend to everyone!

Most large companies will try to sell you a new system when you have an older unit needing expensive repairs. We try to show customers what the repairs will cost and what risk of the unit failing again soon. If they are willing to try so are we. A larger company tries to get the repairman to the next job as fast as possible leaving no time for extensive repairs. Busted copper pipes inside a heat pump are risky to fix. They may not hold. But we got it. A leak in a coil is worse the rust inside keeps it from sealing right. That kind of leak leaves no choice but replacement. I hope you get a few more years out of your system now. Thanks for leaving a review. #airconditioner #repair#locustgrove #mcdonoughga #furnace #opensunday #notcooling #cooling

I received fast and exellent service from Aaac Service Heating and Air. The technician ( Rod) was very friendly and courteous. I originally called the company for a qoute only and ended up getting the work done because of the price qouted. If you don't know anything about air conditioner I suggest you give them a call and you will not feel pressured or taking advantage of. After 3 days without any air upstairs, the family can go back to sleeping comfortably. By the way this was a Sunday!!!!! Thanks Aaac

Aaac Service Heating and Air is prompt and highly dependable business. My central heating & cooling system had been out of service for at least two months. Summer had just started and the heat wave was right on schedule. So I called Aaac Heating & Cooling Service. I explained my problem to to Aaac technician Rod over the phone. Rod listened to my problem. He was extremely nice & pleasurable. Rod came to my house the same day. He diagnosed the unit. Rod gave us an excellent quote on labor and cost to fix the unit. After reviewing the quote I told Rod to get started. Rod fixed the unit in no time. Our central heating & air system worked like it was brand new. Aaac Heating & Cooling Service/ Rod was a blessing to our family. I would advise anyone that if you have a current problem with your Heating Unit, Air Conditioning Unit, or Central Heating & Air System please call Aaac Heating & Cooling Service/ Rod. You won't regret it! I want to personally thank Aaac Heating & Cooling Service/Rod. Aaac/ Rod fixed our unit just in time to avoid the 106 degree's heat wave. Thanks Again Aaac Heating & Cooling Services, especially you Rod

Great review thanks for posting it. I try to listen to what is going on with your system so I have a good idea of how long it will take to fix. Some times it takes time to locate the problem. It helps when the homeowner tells you what the symptoms are..#airconditioner #repair#locustgrove #mcdonoughga #furnace #opensunday #notcooling #cooling
