The furnace is 35 years old and needs a circuit board that’s no longer made. The replacement board requires extra parts to make it compatible, with repairs estimated at over $500. On the plus side, the heat exchanger is still in good shape. On the downside, the draft motor and blower motor are also 35 years old. Aaac Service Heating and Air recommended replacing it, but since we’re not a high-pressure sales business, we provided a repair quote as well. The furnace was repaired, and hopefully it will serve them well for a long time, though the old parts aren’t covered in any way.  These pictures are not of same unit.  The furnace ran for 5 minutes but will shut off before reaching the temperature on the thermostat.  You should turn it off and call for service. This could cause other parts to break. The main limit is telling the furnace to shut off due to high heat. The limit could be bad or it's doing its job and it's a bad gas valve or an air flow issue.  This furnace in McDonough would only blow cold air. It seemed like it would try to run but never get to the flames. It tried 3 times then just blows cold air. The sensor was showing no flame so the furnace will purge and just blow air. The system is doing what it is designed to do when the flames do not come on. The ignitor was replaced, and it works great now.   Monday, 7 July 2025 The air conditioner is on but no air flow. Solved Furnace repair in Mcdonough This a/c was on outside. There was no air flow. Was it a bad blower? Was there ice blocking the air. Did the duct come loose? Maybe it was a bad capacitor. Was the contactor stuck on?  The ice was on the system bad but not the cause this time. The thermostat was calling for a/c and contactor was good. The capacitor and motor checked out as good. This time the circuit board was not telling the blower to come on. We had one on the truck. This 24 year old air conditioner is working.  If the air conditioner is not cooling change the filter. Check the thermostat battery. Is the power on. Is the furnace blowing but no a/c.  Sometimes the a/c is ok but your furnace is not blowing the air. Check power to furnace. Is there water in the pan.
