Fan on top of a/c not on resolved

 I can hear the compressor on but a/c fan is not spinning. 

Turn it off asap. The compressor can get damaged without a fan. 

I resolved this problem by changing the capacitor. Sometimes you are unlucky and its a motor. 

Dirty filters stink, waste energy and put stress on your system.
